Top SchoolRyan Flaherty is a Senior Software Engineer in Seattle with 11 years of experience building full-stack and back-end systems across retail and cloud-native environments. He combines strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise (Node, React, NestJS) with DevOps skills in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform to ship production-grade services and CI/CD pipelines. Ryan has driven data-intensive work—ETL, Kafka, Mongo/MariaDB—and has applied JVM languages (Java, Kotlin) in large-scale fulfillment and developer-portal projects at Nordstrom and Pelotech. Currently at Nearform, he focuses on Node back ends, data pipelines, and Kubernetes-driven deployments, bringing a pragmatic blend of engineering and platform thinking. Notably, his background spans serverless and legacy-modernization efforts, reflecting an ability to move systems from monoliths to cloud-native architectures.
