Top SchoolRyan Leahy is a hands-on software engineer with eight years of experience bridging hardware and software, currently building resilient transmission systems at XKL in Redmond. He has a track record of improving system observability and reliability—ranging from repurposing voltage regulator telemetry to implementing state machines for hot-swap robustness—and has led failover and bring-up efforts for new development boards. Comfortable in both embedded and backend contexts, he has built Django backends that integrate transcription and summarization APIs and debugged low-level firmware and memory issues in aerospace settings. A Gonzaga computer engineering alumnus now pursuing an MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, he pairs academic rigor with practical troubleshooting instincts. Notably, he often uncovers value in overlooked data sources and translates customer feedback into tangible product improvements.
