Top SchoolRyan Macgillivray is a Senior Software Engineer with 13 years of experience building and leading engineering teams across UK tech and government projects, currently at Carwow. He blends hands-on Ruby/Rails and backend experience with strong Agile practices—regularly running retrospectives and coaching teams in TDD and delivery. Ryan has a track record of lifting code quality, introducing testing culture and mentoring engineers, having led academy programs and technical teams at organisations like FutureLearn, Made Tech and Zen Educate. Comfortable working directly with stakeholders, he helps shape product roadmaps and translate user needs into pragmatic engineering outcomes. Based in England, he pairs consulting and leadership experience with a practical, delivery-focused approach that prioritises team health as much as shipping features.
