Top SchoolRyan Mcafee is a Principal Software Engineer and platform architect with 11 years of experience building scalable, distributed systems across web, mobile, desktop and simulator domains. Based in Pensacola, he blends hands-on development, SRE and DevOps expertise to lead multi-region Kubernetes rollouts, observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK) and resilient infrastructure at enterprise scale. He has a strong track record of driving technical vision, creating CI/CD patterns and runbooks, and mentoring teams to adopt best practices in monitoring, tracing and incident readiness. Previously he led full-stack and realtime engineering efforts, including isomorphic stacks and mobile simulator integrations, showing a rare mix of product-focused engineering and infrastructure mastery. Notably, he has hands-on experience stabilizing and scaling observability platforms through index lifecycle, heap tuning and capacity planning—an often overlooked but critical part of keeping services reliable.
