Top SchoolRyan Mclaughlin is a multidisciplinary web developer and writer who transitioned from a 15-year career building high-traffic CMS-driven sites and founding Nocean to pursue advanced studies in English literature and creative writing. He combines hands-on expertise in Drupal and WordPress theme and template development with a strong background in editorial work—having been Assistant Editor at Norris-Whitney and a freelance/features writer for tech and culture outlets. Ryan’s decade living in China produced several community-focused projects (Lost Laowai, Hao Hao Report) that blended content strategy, product design, and audience growth, demonstrating his knack for building engaged online communities. Now completing an MA and a magna cum laude BA with a Board of Governors Medal, he brings rare cross-disciplinary fluency: technical implementation paired with narrative craft and teaching experience as an undergraduate TA.
