Top SchoolRyan Thomas is a senior mobile engineering leader with a decade of experience designing, re-architecting, and scaling native iOS and Android applications for companies including Wheels Up, Zola Books, SquadUp, and comiXology. He combines hands-on development—migrating Objective-C to Swift, building CI/CD pipelines, and shipping major redesigns—with team-building skills, having hired and mentored multiple iOS, Android, and Xamarin engineers. Known for pragmatic product thinking, he has delivered white‑label architectures, offline reader and audio support, and real‑time features like live check‑in and chat with media attachments. At Wheels Up he led a multi‑year rearchitecture and design system rollout across six apps while growing teams to operate autonomously. Comfortable across native and cross‑platform stacks, he blends technical depth with a creative, UX-focused approach to solve complex mobile problems.
