Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolRydel Dcosta is a pragmatic Software Development Engineer II based in the Greater Seattle Area with about a decade of professional experience and nearly eight years focused on backend systems and distributed platforms. At Amazon he progressed from Software Engineer to SDE II, bringing prior capital-markets experience from Morgan Stanley where he built horizontally scalable statement engines, trading platforms, and tools that automated hedge fund calculations. He is fluent in Java and Spring, experienced with messaging (IBM MQ, Pub/Sub), caching (Hazelcast), and has applied machine learning research skills to lightweight semantic segmentation for autonomous driving. Rydel combines strong CS fundamentals—evident from a top-tier IIIT degree and early work on ANTLR-based SQL visualizers—with a practical bias for performance and maintainability in production systems. Colleagues describe him as the kind of engineer who surfaces subtle architectural trade-offs early, turning complex workflows into reliable, auditable services.
