Sahana S Shetty
Summary
👤
SeniorSahana Shetty is a founding engineer and seasoned software developer with 8 years of experience building product-grade systems across startups and enterprise teams, now based in California. She has shipped end-to-end features—from web-socket messaging and in-app payments to Kubernetes-backed costing and real-time dispatcher scheduling—demonstrating strength across backend, frontend, and cloud-native stacks. Comfortable in small teams, she pairs hands-on coding in Java, SpringBoot, Cassandra/Postgres, and ExtJs with leadership, mentoring, and strong cross-functional communication. Her work blends distributed systems and applied ML/NLP (including LLM-driven chat suggestions) to solve user-facing problems rather than just backend plumbing. A repeat contributor to innovative POCs and fast delivery cycles, she brings an educator’s patience to ramping junior engineers and collaborating on complex integrations. Outside core work she’s actively building neighborhood-focused products and exploring AI-for-operations tooling, reflecting both entrepreneurial drive and product empathy.
