Summary
👤
SeniorSahar Bala is a pragmatic software engineer with nine years of experience building customer-facing web experiences and leading quality efforts across startups and scaling companies. She has progressed from customer support and QA leadership into full-stack engineering roles, recently joining ClassDojo after impactful frontend and cross‑team work at Eventbrite and Convoy. Sahar specializes in React and service-oriented architectures, pairing frontend ownership with backend familiarity (Python/Django) to ship embeddable checkout flows and reduce support load through thoughtful tooling. She values developer mentorship and process—having introduced cross-team agreements, run regular code labs, and onboarded peers internationally. Based in Seattle, she blends analytical rigor with creativity outside work as a runner, artist, and accomplished home cook. A lifelong learner with a growth mindset, she consistently turns empathy for users and support experience into more resilient, maintainable systems.
