Top SchoolSai Maryada is a Software Development Engineer at Amazon with three years of experience building and maintaining OpenSearch client libraries and developer tooling. She has led cross-language efforts—owning opensearch-py, opensearch-php, and the API specification—automating API generation and CI/CD to support 450+ customer-facing APIs while doubling test coverage. Sai blends backend engineering with frontend delivery, contributing major features and ~90% test coverage for the Dashboards Flow Framework using React, TypeScript, and Redux, and she drove migration work that consolidated the Python client stack to reduce maintenance overhead. A proactive open-source maintainer, she reviewed 100+ PRs, created a contributor tutorial with 2K+ views, and introduced YAML-based test runners to streamline regression testing. Her background in data science and prior analytics work complements her focus on measurable improvements, such as adding a Client Processing Time metric to isolate client-side latency for performance debugging. Based in Seattle, she combines rigorous engineering discipline with a knack for community-building and practical automation.
