Top SchoolSakunthala Panditharatne is a London-based writer and former software engineer with 11 years’ experience at the intersection of finance, AR/VR, and machine learning. A Cambridge-trained computer scientist with early hands-on experience at Oculus, she went on to research generative 3D modelling, found Asteroid to prototype next-gen AR/VR apps, and consulted on strategic implications for classifieds and hardware. Her stint in venture capital and blogging built a 21K-strong audience and credibility among top fund managers and journalists for writing on the tech economy and productivity growth. Currently writing at Kintsugi (Ad)ventures, she combines technical fluency with a financial lens to spot where new interfaces, chips, and algorithms create economic leverage. Notably, she has moved fluidly between deep engineering prototypes and accessible public analysis, making futures thinking both practical and widely readable.
