Senior🎓
Top SchoolSally Lait is a seasoned fractional and interim technology leader with over two decades of experience building resilient, human-centred engineering cultures across startups, scale-ups, consultancies and platform businesses. She has led trust & safety engineering at scale for companies like Bumble and Monzo, delivering safety-by-design systems that tackle complex, emotionally charged domains such as CSAE, fraud, and digital safety. As a VP and Head of Engineering she has combined executive strategy, regulatory readiness and hands-on delivery to modernise systems, improve automation and embed inclusive management practices. Sally often works fractionally to help organisations strengthen technology practices, run advisory and coaching engagements, and design governance for high-stakes product areas. She also contributes to sector-wide safety initiatives—chairing TrustCon program work and advising the Trust and Safety Foundation—bringing a rare mix of cross-platform technical judgement and policy-aware systems thinking. A curious polyglot in practice, she balances deep technical leadership with consultancy experience and even studied intensive Japanese to widen cultural perspective.
