Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolSalvador De La Puente is a Head of Engineering at IBM with roughly 14–20 years of software development experience and a track record of growing high-performing teams and maturing products and processes. He blends hands-on engineering (front-end, back-end, compiler internals and QA/test automation) with strategic leadership across IBM Quantum and community-facing projects. An active open-source contributor, his work spans notable projects like Qiskit, MDN service worker recipes, A-Frame VR, and the deprecated Mozilla Gaia phone UI—demonstrating fluency from UI polish to quantum SDK testing and documentation. He has deep technical roots from EPFL and Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and a history of teaching and research that surfaces in clear technical writing and mentoring. Outside of work he remains a developer at heart, enjoying programming languages, VR, cinema and craft beer—an engineer who still codes, writes specs, and improves developer experiences.
