Top SchoolSalvador Montiel is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with 11 years of software experience who blends self-taught curiosity with formal SRE training to deliver reliable, business-focused systems. He has built and modernized services across Java/Spring Boot, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and cloud-native toolchains, and has a track record of improving performance—e.g., reengineering a legacy JBoss module and cutting query time by ~30%. Based in Guadalajara, he pairs backend and mobile experience (Android/MVP) to solve real operational problems, such as reducing field workflow time by 40% via a custom app and API. Currently contributing SRE expertise at Realtor.com and Wizeline, he emphasizes pragmatic best practices and measurable outcomes over tool fetishism. Notably, he bridges product needs and infrastructure reliability, making trade-offs that prioritize business value while keeping systems scalable and maintainable.
