Senior🎓
Top SchoolSam Mcgeown is a Senior Developer Advocate with 12 years of hands-on experience spanning public and private clouds, Kubernetes, DevOps/GitOps, APIs, and cloud-native infrastructure. He combines deep technical product management and marketing experience—having shaped developer and platform UX at VMware and driven go-to-market strategies like “DevOps for Infrastructure”—with a talent for translating complex integrations into clear, usable developer experiences. Sam regularly presents at industry events, authors technical content and demos that showcase the “art of the possible,” and has a track record of driving Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD adoption. Comfortable leading consulting engagements and cross-functional teams, he advocates strongly for customer needs within engineering and UX organizations. Based in the UK, he recently moved into developer advocacy at HashiCorp after a product leadership stint at Kong, bringing a rare blend of field consulting, product strategy, and technical storytelling. An unusual strength is his long history of building both enterprise automation solutions and accessible developer-focused narratives, which helps bridge technical depth with real-world adoption.
