Senior🎓
Top SchoolSam Zilverberg is a pragmatic software generalist and infrastructure team lead with 12 years of experience building reliable, testable platforms and APIs across startups and enterprise teams in Israel and Europe. Currently leading Platform Engineering at PayZen, he blends hands-on coding, DevOps/tooling improvements, and incremental delivery to enable teams to ship with confidence. Known for promoting software craftsmanship, ownership and humility, he focuses on asking the right questions to build what’s really needed and breaking work into small, deliverable pieces. His background spans technical leadership roles at Springer Nature and hands-on backend work at Avuba and Cellebrite, giving him deep experience in both product and platform contexts. Sam mentors engineers, insists on readable maintainable code and strong test practices, and quietly pursues etymology and piano as outlets that reflect his curiosity and attention to detail. An advocate for professionalism over heroics, he prefers systemic improvements that make teams sustainably productive.
