Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolSamuel Autrey is a Senior Software Engineer based in Austin with eight years of experience blending enterprise SAP consulting and modern JavaScript/serverless engineering. He has moved from SAP-focused roles into lead and senior engineering positions at startups and scale-ups, most recently at Discord, bringing practical experience shipping React/React Native work and contributing to open-source community discussions. Samuel is strong at translating complex business processes into reliable, maintainable code across front-end and serverless back ends, and he’s comfortable bridging technical and nontechnical stakeholders — a skill honed earlier in resident services and leasing roles. Known for pairing pragmatic engineering with clear communication, he often surfaces implementation trade-offs and operational concerns before they become problems.
