Senior🎓
Top SchoolSamuel Lozier is a Senior Data Scientist with 10 years of experience turning multi-platform datasets into executive-ready metrics and production data pipelines, currently driving advanced analytics at Avalara. He specializes in the modern data stack—Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, GitLab CI/CD—and brings deep Python, ETL, and analytics engineering chops from roles spanning BI to freelance product-focused solutions. Samuel pairs technical rigor with product and ops sensibility, having trained teams on modern tooling and built CI pipelines that enforce code quality and reproducibility. His background in retail operations and buying gives him a practical bias toward solving upstream business problems, not just technical symptoms. Outside of work he’s an accomplished backcountry skier (including first descents) and once went wing-walking, hinting at a taste for applied risk and adventurous problem solving.
