Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolSamuel Shin is a Senior Software Engineer with seven years of experience building full-stack systems and applied machine learning for startups and research labs. He combines production-grade backend engineering (Go, Node.js, FastAPI) and responsive frontend work (Vue3, React, React Native) with deep ML expertise in computer vision and pose estimation, evidenced by an ACM SIGGRAPH–accepted paper and productionized skeleton and hand-detection models at Samsung. As a founding engineer at a YC startup he integrated multi-cloud marketplaces and Salesforce, and now contributes to a modern accounting platform for startups in San Francisco. Samuel’s background spans end-to-end product delivery—from low-latency inference APIs and WebSocket pipelines to UX-driven client apps—and includes a rare mix of academic rigor (USC MS) and startup execution. Notably, he led an AI dance-game effort that secured institutional VC funding and built novel sensor-less foot-pressure inference from RGB cameras.
