Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolSanel Zukan is a seasoned software engineer with 22 years of experience building robust, production-grade systems across domains from fintech and telecom to NLP and crisis asset tracking. He has led teams and designed infrastructure for scale—building voting platforms, GPS tracking for EU-funded projects, bank payment switching, and Hadoop/HBase deployments—while hands-on implementing language tooling and data processing pipelines. Comfortable across languages (including Lisp/Clojure, Java, Python, Ruby) and cloud infrastructures, he combines low-level format design with high-level system architecture. Rarely pigeonholed, he blends hacker curiosity ("coding, hacking, lisping") with disciplined delivery and has a track record of turning research-grade ideas into operational products. Based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he excels at optimizing costs and delivery for distributed, data-intensive systems.
