Top SchoolSantiago Hernandez is a Platform Architect with seven years of experience building and securing cloud-native infrastructure across fintech and delivery platforms, currently shaping platform strategy at dLocal in Madrid. He blends hands-on engineering and developer productivity leadership, having progressed from DevOps and cloud engineering roles to Head of Cloud at Strike.sh and now architect-level responsibilities. Santiago pairs a pragmatic security mindset—rooted in ethical hacking experience at HackerOne and Strike.sh—with a strong ops background, famously noting that "there is no cloud, it's just someone else's computer." He focuses on scalable, observable platforms that accelerate developer velocity and reliability in high-throughput environments. Educated in systems engineering and programming in Uruguay, he brings a cross-functional fluency between software configuration, cloud operations, and developer tooling. Colleagues describe him as a practical problem-solver who turns security insight into resilient infrastructure design.
