Top SchoolSathira Bandaranayake is a software engineer and research intern with eight years of experience building full-stack and cloud-native systems, currently researching energy profiling in distributed systems at Télécom SudParis. He has driven end-to-end features and automation—ranging from license-compliance tooling with Fossology to CQRS-based APIs and pub/sub integrations for enterprise transport systems. At SWAT Mobility and 99x he focused on responsive front-ends and robust backend services, and contributed UI/UX fixes to the notable open-source search project Susper. Educated across cloud computing and computer science programs in Sri Lanka and France, he blends rigorous academic study with practical deployment experience on Ubuntu servers and CI workflows. Sathira’s background includes leadership as a student society president and a knack for finding pragmatic tooling and automation opportunities that reduce manual overhead. He pairs curiosity about system efficiency with hands-on skills in Java, Python, Vue, and frontend responsive design.
