Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolSatoshi Hirose is a product-oriented engineer and graduate student with 10 years of experience building data infrastructure and AI-powered SaaS products from the trenches in Tokyo. He has progressed from hands-on roles in data engineering and reliability at SmartNews and Treasure Data to leading product strategy and small teams at primeNumber Inc., where he launched a revenue-generating enterprise data catalog. Equally comfortable writing PRDs and coding ETL pipelines, Satoshi blends deep technical know-how (Presto, Digdag, Scala, Spark) with rigorous user discovery to drive Product-Market Fit. His background in physics and long-running focus on data systems give him a quantitative, experimental approach to product decisions. Currently balancing academic research at SOKENDAI with part-time product and engineering work for Japanese startups, he’s adept at translating complex data problems into usable, scalable products. A self-described "Data Engineering Guy," he brings both operational reliability and product intuition to teams aiming to commercialize data tooling.
