Top SchoolSaundra Castaneda is a Lead Engineer with 11 years of experience building performant, user-focused web and mobile experiences from Chicago. She has advanced from internships at GitHub to senior roles at Home Chef and Stitch Fix, shipping React and React Native features, API integrations, and performance optimizations that measurably improved page load and UX. Her work spans front-end portals and complex back-end flows—examples include a Message Center rendered via DOM portals, Stripe-verified address flows, and hardening OmniAuth security to use CSRF-protected POST redirects. A practical problem-solver, she pairs attention to visual and accessibility details with pragmatic refactors (e.g., cutting CSS payloads by ~60%) and mentors engineering teams as a steady technical leader.
