Top SchoolSavanni D'gerinel is a Staff Engineer with 11+ years building reliable, user-centered software and infrastructure from embedded devices to desktop applications. Currently leading a Rust and TypeScript team at 1Password, she balances hands-on coding in core systems with coordinating cross-functional design and product efforts. Her background spans platform engineering, automated deployment, and high-throughput data ingestion—work that produced zero-downtime deployments, resilient infrastructure automation, and a long-running accounting service processing thousands of commands per second. She prioritizes mentorship, diversity, and compassionate design, and deliberately focuses her engineering on existential challenges like climate change, public health, and privacy. Based in Providence, RI, she combines deep systems experience (C++, Python, Haskell, Rust) with a steady track record of shipping durable, maintainable solutions. An engineer who moves between code and people, she intentionally invests in teammates and processes that scale trust as well as technology.
