Western Cape, South Africa
Summary
👤
SeniorSchalk Burger is a frontend developer and designer from Cape Town with 11 years in the web industry who blends pixel-perfect design sensibilities with modern front-end engineering. He has evolved from web designer and full-stack roles into leadership and front-end specialization, currently contributing to OVEX and TillTitans while running his own consultancy. Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), React and Next.js, he is comfortable translating complex fintech requirements into responsive, production-ready interfaces. He mentors junior developers and champions design-to-development workflows that reduce rework and improve product velocity. Based in the Western Cape, he brings a rare mix of creative direction and hands-on coding—often tackling both UI detail and architectural challenges on the same project.
