Scott Brodersen
Software Engineer at Trend Micro
Summary
Scott Brodersen is a Senior Software Developer with seven years focused on AWS-centric microservices and a long background in technical content development. He designs and implements serverless systems—primarily Go-based AWS Lambda functions, EventBridge/SQS workflows, DynamoDB storage, and CI/CD via GitHub Actions and AWS CDK—while applying devOps practices for observability with CloudWatch dashboards and alarms. Scott led the creation of an internal publishing platform that let distributed teams independently contribute and publish product documentation, drawing on two decades of hands-on technical writing for SDKs, APIs, and admin guides. His unusual combination of a civil/structural engineering master’s (finite-element modeling experience) and deep content strategy gives him a systems-thinking approach to software design and developer experience. Based in Arnprior, Ontario, he currently contributes at Trend Micro, bridging developer tooling, secure token-based APIs, and writer-friendly publishing workflows.
