Top SchoolScott Kellum is a Design Director and founder with 15+ years of hands-on product and front-end experience and over 20 years in the broader design and typography world. He bootstrapped Typetura to commercial success, secured multiple patents in dynamic typesetting, and consults with Google on emerging web platform features. Scott has led cross-disciplinary teams at Vox Media, Fjord, and Mariana Tek to create customer-centered, maintainable products that combine editorial, advertising, and engineering needs. His open-source front-end work on projects like Singularity and modularscale-sass shows a practical commitment to CSS, grids, and scalable typographic systems. Based in Los Angeles and teaching at Cooper Union, he blends entrepreneurial product strategy with classroom mentorship to amplify design impact across industry and academia. A less obvious strength: he repeatedly converts typographic research into production-ready tooling and revenue-generating fonts and services.
