Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolScott Long is a Lead Software Engineer with nine years of experience building and modernizing big data and cloud-native systems for healthcare and enterprise customers. He blends hands-on polyglot development (NodeJS, Python, C#, Java, Go, C++, PHP) with infrastructure-as-code and cloud architecture expertise, favoring Terraform and document/graph databases like MongoDB and TinkerPop/Gremlin. Scott has driven scalable data platforms and machine-learning-enabled pipelines and is equally comfortable owning backend systems, custom database architecture, and frontend frameworks from React to Ember. He pairs a practical DevOps mindset and TDD discipline with a fascination for embedded systems—working in his spare time on firmware for a 3D-printed delivery/drone project—and quietly aims to write his own bootloader.
