Top SchoolScout C is an early-career environmental scientist and air compliance trainee with eight years of diverse field and research experience spanning atmospheric science, marine biology, and hands-on conservation work. A Haverford College graduate in biology with a minor in environmental studies and study-abroad experience, Scout blends lab skills—such as electroporation techniques developed during an NSF REU—with practical environmental education and restoration work from camps to house renovation. Currently working at the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, they focus on air quality compliance while maintaining strong interests in renewable energy, circular economy, and climate mitigation. Scout’s background includes science communication at NASA Goddard and direct stewardship roles that reflect an ability to translate technical science into public-facing education and operational practice. Notably comfortable crossing lab benches, field sites, and regulatory settings, Scout brings curiosity-driven problem solving and an interdisciplinary perspective to sustainability challenges.
