Top SchoolSean Holbert is a Staff Software Engineer in San Francisco with 11 years of experience building user-centered, cross-platform applications and developer-facing backend layers. He specializes in front-end and mobile engineering—Typescript, React/React Native, and platform-native iOS/Android—while owning GraphQL Lambda "BFF" architectures that have enabled a company to expand supported platforms from 6 to 10+. Sean pairs hands-on coding with systems thinking, having architected GraphQL backends, CI pipelines, and custom cross-platform React Native components (including a video player with multi-track audio and heart-rate integration). He has led small teams, guided technical standards, and worked closely with designers in Figma to codify design systems. His background spans startups and scale-ups (founding engineer through principal roles) and includes volunteer work applying serverless analytics for political campaigns, showing a pragmatic drive to ship impact beyond product teams.
