Top SchoolSean Montgomery is a founder and research-driven engineering leader with 15 years building wearable biosensors, affective computing products, and machine learning systems that move lab research into real-world devices. He leads Connected Future Labs and EmotiBit out of Reno, combining hardware, embedded firmware, and data science to commercialize biometric sensors and wearable experiences. Previously Head of Hardware at Ringly and Head of R&D at SUPA, he has several patents pending for sensor + ML integrations and a track record of shipping consumer and research-grade products. A PhD neuroscientist who has taught at MIT, NYU, and Hunter College, he blends rigorous academic training with hands-on product development and installation art that explores human-technology relationships. He routinely bridges circuits, computer vision, and psychophysiology to detect changing bodily and affective states—an uncommon mix that informs both product roadmaps and public-facing interactive work.
