👤
SeniorSean Sobey is a Senior Software Developer based in Durban with 10 years’ experience building full-stack web and API systems, currently contributing to large-scale enterprise migration and private cloud platforms at SA Home Loans. A self-taught engineer with a B.Com background, he blends front-end Angular and ASP.NET work with Node/.NET microservices, CQRS patterns, and CI/CD/DevOps practices to deliver resilient, test-driven features. He enjoys mentoring junior developers and collaborating across distributed teams—experience honed earlier at Sage where he worked on cross-company integrations with Google and Microsoft. Focused on software security, deployment and architecture, Sean is equally comfortable debugging complex production issues and designing for long-term maintainability. An inquisitive learner who relishes the expanding frontier of knowledge, he brings a practical commercial perspective from his early finance and sales roles to technical decision-making.
