Senior🎓
Top SchoolSebastian Giraldo is a seasoned software engineer with 11 years of experience building and modernizing marketplaces and SaaS platforms across monolith and microservices architectures. He excels in Ruby and JavaScript ecosystems, driving TDD/BDD, CI/CD, and performance improvements using Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis, Datadog, HoneyBadger and AWS, with practical exposure to GraphQL, React and TypeScript. As a hands-on tech lead and former CTO, he’s led migrations from legacy WordPress systems to Rails microservices, cut tech debt dramatically, and designed secure third‑party integrations (SSO, gift-card APIs) under tight timelines. He combines deep architecture, data modeling and refactoring skills with team leadership, mentoring and clear technical documentation to turn business needs into scalable solutions. An active StackOverflow contributor and creator of bilingual developer content, he pairs rapid problem-solving and adaptability with unconventional stress relief—fitness and skydiving—that help him stay focused under pressure.
