Senior🎓
Top SchoolSebastian Rau is a supply chain and hardware leader with nine years of experience advancing embedded systems, automation and manufacturing in energy-tech. Currently Director Supply Chain & Hardware at gridX, he progressed through roles from R&D project management to team leadership and now strategic hardware and procurement oversight. He combines hands-on engineering roots—scientific research at Fachhochschule Aachen and a BSc in Computer Science—with operational experience in customer support and field engineering, giving him a rare end-to-end perspective from prototype to product delivery. Notably, his background in embedded systems and automation informs pragmatic supply chain decisions that reduce time-to-market for complex hardware. Based in Oberhausen, he is comfortable bridging technical teams and commercial stakeholders to scale hardware platforms in fast-moving environments.
