Top SchoolSebastien Ballesteros is a Senior Software Engineer with 13 years of experience who combines a PhD in mathematical modeling with hands-on web engineering to deliver well-architected, product-focused solutions. At DuckDuckGo he led an incremental rewrite of the search results page, drove adoption of Next.js and a design system, and shipped web‑vitals and A/B testing work that materially improved engagement and revenue. He excels at fast build/measure/learn cycles, close collaboration with product and design, and creating internal tooling to surface key performance insights. As a founder and technical lead he has architected complex React/Redux apps, hypermedia APIs, and document transformation pipelines deployed on AWS. He volunteers technical skills to conservation projects like Coral Gardeners and has translated academic infectious-disease modeling into usable web tools adopted by NGOs and research institutions. That blend of rigorous quantitative research and pragmatic product engineering makes him adept at turning complex requirements into measurable, production-ready outcomes.
