Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolSelçuk Cihan is a pragmatic software engineer with over a decade of experience building serverless, scalable backends and mission-critical workflows across startups and large enterprises, including Amazon. He blends deep hands-on skills in AWS, Python and Node with product-minded architecture—shipping APIs, Step Functions orchestration, GraphQL/AppSync and payment integrations for SaaS and e-commerce. Selçuk has repeatedly driven cost and performance improvements (including >50% AWS savings for a client), led live migrations and deprecated legacy services to simplify platforms at scale. He pairs operational ownership with mentoring and teaching experience, having instructed AWS/serverless courses and led engineering work across distributed teams. Based in Istanbul, he’s equally comfortable creating SDKs and mobile device management tools as he is automating warehouse operations and analytics for financial writers. Peers describe him as a builder who not only delivers features but also intentionally retires technical debt and processes that no longer serve the business.
