Senior🎓
Top SchoolSelma Shimono is a Senior Software Developer based in São Paulo with over 18 years in technology and seven years focused on modern backend development using TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). She has shipped integrations and revenue-driving features for startups and YC-backed companies—like recurring payments and Order Bump at Livus and multiple external integrations and onboarding automation at Miggos—while also architecting infrastructure and developer tooling as a founder. Comfortable across legacy C/C++ systems and contemporary web stacks, Selma brings strong analytical systems thinking and a habit of spotting integration impacts before they surface as bugs. She mentors and onboards junior talent, advocates for gender equity in tech, and enjoys taking projects from definition through testing and deployment. A fast learner and pragmatist, she has built developer-focused tools (e.g., Testlatte) and emphasizes maintainability and measurable business outcomes in her work.
