Senior🎓
Top SchoolSemyon Volkov is a pragmatic fullstack JavaScript engineer with 9 years of professional experience, currently focused on crafting high-quality frontend experiences for self-serve kiosks at Dodo Brands. He combines hands-on engineering (TypeScript, React, Node.js) with architecture and performance work—having halved a bundle size and migrated large codebases from Webpack 4/ES5 to Webpack 5/ES6. Semyon has led small teams, set up a Frontend Guild to spread best practices, and synchronised cross-team efforts on plugin and API migrations at Miro. He also teaches software engineering at HSE, bringing practical GitHub Classroom and CI practices into the classroom. Comfortable across backend, client infrastructure and cloud platforms, he repeatedly turns performance and developer-experience problems into measurable improvements. Based in Perm, Russia, he pairs product-minded engineering with a taste for developer tooling and scalable frontend architecture.
