Top SchoolSerge Bibauw is a researcher and instructor specializing in computer-assisted language learning, French linguistics, and French as a foreign language, with 12 years of academic and teaching experience across Belgium and Ecuador. He combines a PhD-focused research background in dialogue systems for language learning with practical course design and curriculum leadership at UCLouvain and Universidad Central del Ecuador. His work bridges applied linguistics and conversational agent development, evaluating how written chatbots can scaffold L2 production and interaction. Serge has coordinated curriculum redesigns, led research departments, and supervised numerous theses, showing a rare mix of classroom practice and empirical experimentation. Fluent in multilingual academic environments, he leverages cross-cultural perspectives—born from prolonged work in South America and Belgium—to inform pedagogical innovation. Beyond publications, his profile signals an orientation toward building usable learning technologies rather than purely theoretical models.
