Ruby on Rails Developer
Buenos Aires, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina
Summary
👤
SeniorSergey Pedan is a seasoned Ruby on Rails developer and tech lead with 11 years of professional experience and a background in web and UI design dating back to the mid-2000s. He’s shipped hundreds of product features across agencies and startups, leading remote teams, mentoring juniors, and driving architecture decisions like adopting ViewComponent and HotWire to modernize legacy Rails apps. Equally comfortable in back-end Rails, front-end HTML/CSS/JS, and deployment automation, he’s built custom gems, CI/CD pipelines, and performance-optimized marketing sites. A digital nomad who has worked from Bangkok and now lives in Buenos Aires, Sergey is quietly expanding his toolset into Rust while building an online code school to pass on practical web engineering skills.
