Sergey Prokhorov
DevOps Engineer
Berlin, Germany
Summary
👤
SeniorSergey Prokhorov is a Lead Platform Engineer based in Berlin with over a decade of hands-on experience building and operating large-scale cloud-native platforms. He has led SRE/DevOps teams and designed infrastructure for 90+ applications across multi-cloud Kubernetes fleets, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Helm), and Terraform/Terragrunt-driven automation. Sergey pairs deep systems knowledge—from Kafka, PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch to Go-based tooling and Terratest—with people leadership, having implemented Scrum, hiring and career development for his teams. His background spans migrations from bare-metal to AWS/GCP, event-driven architectures and production-grade monitoring and testing practices, reflecting a pragmatic focus on reliability and repeatable infrastructure. An engineer who still writes and tests infrastructure code, he brings both operational rigor and an appetite for tooling that makes large, complex systems manageable.
