Senior🎓
Top SchoolSergey Simanovsky is a founder and ecosystem builder with nine years of experience cultivating communities and growth for open-source and decentralized projects from his base in Portugal. As CEO of Citizen Cosmos since 2020, he blends product and project management with ambassadorial and consulting roles to help projects scale their contributor and user networks. His background in humanitarian studies, psychology, philosophy, economics and crisis management gives him a user-centric and systems-aware approach to community design and governance. Known for turning decentralized initiatives into sustainable ecosystems, he actively seeks interesting open-source projects to commit to and grow alongside. Unusually for a founder, he pairs strategic leadership with hands-on community operations—often described humorously on GitHub as “manager of looking busy”—which underscores his pragmatic, people-first style.
