Top SchoolSérgio Souza is a Specialist Software Engineer with 15+ years of hands-on experience designing and architecting distributed systems, currently driving platform work at Grupo Boticário from Bahia, Brazil. His career blends deep Java and backend expertise—Spring, Hibernate, WebLogic/Tomcat— with front-end experience (AngularJS, JSF) and operational practices like CI/CD, SonarQube and automated testing. He has a strong track record as a software architect and senior engineer across Brazilian tech firms and multinational projects, having delivered enterprise systems for clients such as Petrobras and international teams in Portugal and Angola. Sérgio pairs formal training in Computer Science and a specialization in Networks with practical experience in process automation (jBPM) and messaging-heavy, web-scale integrations. Colleagues describe him as a pragmatic architect who still codes, mentors teams, and focuses on reliable, testable solutions rather than theoretical purity. Notably, his background includes long-term stewardship of legacy-to-modernization efforts, bridging Swing/WebStart desktop systems to modern web architectures.
