Senior🎓
Top SchoolSeth Rutner is a founder and Principal Software Engineer with a decade+ of hands-on experience designing and operating distributed, multi-region infrastructure and backend platforms. He has driven platform reliability and scalability at Autodesk Construction Cloud and PlanGrid—building Kubernetes-based stacks, Istio service mesh integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and Python/Go toolboxes that improved performance and compliance across hundreds of services. Seth pairs low-level networking and data-center experience (including seasonal network engineering in Antarctica) with cloud-native expertise in Terraform, Spinnaker, EKS/KOPS, and secrets/observability tooling to ship practical, auditable solutions. He enjoys working on bleeding-edge infrastructure, has launched a consumer travel planning startup (Avosquado), and writes code while moonlighting as an amateur writer and travel enthusiast. Known for reducing service latencies and enabling multi-region deployments, he blends systems thinking with product-focused execution to solve reliability challenges. Based in San Francisco, he brings entrepreneurial grit and cross-stack fluency from hardware and networks up through platform APIs.
