Top SchoolShafaiatul Islam is a UX/UI engineer with 11 years of experience designing and rebuilding data-driven web applications and revitalizing legacy front ends for enterprise clients. Based in New York, she combines deep front-end expertise—from HTML5, SCSS and Tailwind to Angular (v2–18) and custom web components—with practical backend knowledge in Node.js and ASP.NET to deliver cohesive, usable products. Her background in professional copywriting and marketing informs interface decisions, enabling her to craft persuasive microcopy and flows that boost engagement and conversions. At Horizon Media she led end-to-end UX/UI development, collaborating with offshore teams and integrating open-source libraries and modern authentication (OIDC/MSAL) into complex systems. Unusually for a designer, she started in civil engineering, giving her a methodical, systems-oriented approach to UI problems.
