Top SchoolShankara Vaidyanathan is a robotics engineer and startup operator with 10 years of experience bridging mechanical design, perception, and full-stack software for autonomy. As Co-Founder and CRO of a stealth AI startup and a research assistant at Northeastern’s Robust Autonomy Lab, he has delivered practical systems from multi-camera visual-inertial odometry and GPS-integrated SLAM to real-time UAV mapping and satellite collision probability analysis. His background spans industry and academia—winning 3rd place in the ICRA Rearrangement Planning challenge, publishing MAV visual-servoing work, and contributing to deployment-grade robotics at Invento and GreenSight. Comfortable across URDF/ROS, control/estimation, and React/Node.js stacks, he pairs rigorous MS-level research (4.0 GPA) with hands-on product builds. Based in Chennai with international study experience, he’s equally at home optimizing inverse dynamics for climbing robots or shipping fleet management portals. Avid reader and endurance runner, he brings curiosity and persistence to hard robotics problems and early-stage business growth.
