Summary
🤩
RockstarShawn Axsom is a senior engineering manager with 20 years of software experience and 13 years in leadership, known for scaling customer-facing platforms and founding reliable cross-product platform capabilities. At Docker he helped lead a tenfold growth, building core services for identity, accounts, RBAC, billing and multi-organization models that powered Docker Hub, Desktop and enterprise features. He combines hands-on React and Go engineering roots with a coaching-first management style that prioritizes clear priorities, strong ownership, and team health—resulting in zero regrettable attrition over the past two years. Currently at Vanta he’s leading Monetization within an AI organization, evolving billing systems and integrating AI into core product flows. Colleagues describe him as calm under pressure who institutionalizes operating models and processes as companies scale from dozens to hundreds of engineers.
