Senior🎓
Top SchoolShawn Song is a Senior Developer based in Toronto with over a decade of experience designing and delivering large web-based systems across Java/J2EE, C/C++, and modern web stacks. He has led performance-critical projects—from telco-grade WAP gateways and MMSC to enterprise portals—demonstrating measurable impact such as multi-fold performance gains and multimillion-dollar cost savings. Comfortable across the full SDLC, Shawn pairs object-oriented design, UML and design patterns with hands-on database work in Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server and Sybase, and daily use of Spring, REST/SOAP services, and CI tools like Git/SVN. He thrives in Agile teams and has a track record of migrating legacy systems to service-oriented architectures and maintaining production-critical portals for finance and healthcare customers. With an aeronautics background from Beihang University, he brings systems-level thinking and cross-domain experience that helps him integrate software with mechanical and networked systems. Quietly resilient, he also managed an extended international absence without interrupting his career trajectory and returned to lead in enterprise software delivery.
