Top SchoolShelley Powers is an experienced communications professional and independent children's-book publisher with 11+ years crafting clear, engaging stories and visual communications from Jackson, Mississippi. She founded Creekline House to publish gentle, design-forward children's books rooted in Southern warmth, and has a long track record designing agency branding, style guides, magazines, curriculum, and large-circulation newsletters. Comfortable across editorial, photography, and production workflows, she combines hands-on design in Adobe and Office suites with strategic communications leadership as a long-serving Communications Director and executive team member. Known for turning complex information into accessible print and digital media, she also brings practical web and multimedia experience from earlier roles building sites and internal tools. Her work reveals a consistent focus on storytelling, civic-minded outreach, and craft-driven design that lingers beyond the page.
